What is telemedicine?

Understanding telemedicine

Telemedicine (also called telehealth) is the delivery of healthcare services using secure video conferencing technology. You and your doctor communicate in real-time through audio and video, just like an in-person visit, but from separate locations.

Dr. Warner uses HIPAA-compliant, secure video platforms to provide comprehensive neurology consultations. During your visit, she can evaluate your symptoms, review your medical history and test results, discuss treatment options, and prescribe medications when appropriate.

Telemedicine has been shown to be effective for many neurological conditions, including neuropathy, headaches, neuromuscular diseases, and ongoing management of chronic neurological conditions.

What you can expect

  • Comprehensive evaluation: Detailed discussion of your symptoms, medical history, and concerns
  • Review of records: Analysis of prior test results, imaging studies, and medical records
  • Treatment planning: Development of a personalized treatment plan tailored to your needs
  • Prescription management: Prescriptions sent directly to your pharmacy when medically appropriate
  • Coordination of care: Referrals for additional testing or specialist consultations as needed
  • Clear communication: Ample time for questions and detailed explanations
